Your front door is the first thing visitors see and the main thing standing between your family and whatever is outside. If yours is warped, drafty, hard to lock or simply looks tired, a new door changes both the security and the whole look of your home. Revived Windows and Doors LLC installs exterior and interior doors for homeowners across Adairsville, North Georgia and the Atlanta area. Free consultation and a clear written estimate before any work begins.
Most homeowners call us for one of these reasons. See if any of them sound like your door.
If the door itself is still in good condition and the problem is alignment, hinges, a sticking latch or worn weather stripping, a repair is usually all it takes and it costs far less. We will tell you which one you are dealing with.
This comes up in almost every quote, so here it is in plain language.
A slab door is the door panel on its own. You reuse the existing frame and hinges. It costs less and works well when the frame is square, solid and in good shape, and you simply want a new door panel.
A prehung door comes already mounted in a new frame, with the hinges fitted and the threshold attached. It costs more but it replaces the frame too, which is the right call when the jamb is rotted, split from a forced entry, or so far out of square that no panel will ever hang properly in it.
We check the frame during the consultation and tell you which one your opening actually needs. Fitting a new slab into a bad frame is money wasted, and putting in a full prehung when the frame is perfectly good is money you did not need to spend.
A door that sticks, leaks air or does not lock properly is not just an irritation. It is a security weak point and a slow water problem waiting to reach your floor. Getting it looked at costs you nothing.
Tell us what is going on with your door and we will give you honest advice, a clear price, and an installation that closes right the first time and keeps doing it.
